Wadehour: Offline Tide Tables — Terms of use
Last updated 6 November 2026
Wadehour: Offline Tide Tables ("Wadehour") is published by Chibu LLC. By using it you agree to these terms. If you got Wadehour from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) also applies, and where the two differ for an App Store copy, Apple's agreement governs.
What is free
Station search across every bundled NOAA harmonic reference station; today's highs, lows and tide curve, and today's sun and moon times and moon phase, at any station; your next low-water window below your line, with how many more fall in the next 30 days; the low-water window list, the tide curve and the sun and moon times for the next 7 days; sharing any single window as one line of text; the datum and unit settings, the NOAA source and datum labels and the not-for-navigation statement; and every prediction worked out on the phone, offline, with no account. They stay free.
The free week
On Android (Google Play), one tap in Wadehour opens Wadehour Pro for 7 days, with no card and no purchase. Nothing is charged and nothing renews when the week ends: Pro simply locks again, and your stations, your line, your alerts and your settings stay as they are.
What you can buy
Wadehour Pro adds every low-water window up to 12 months ahead; the tide curve and the sun and moon times beyond the next 7 days, up to 30 days ahead; the month table, for this month and the next 12; tide alerts on your phone; and export of low-water windows as calendar events and of the month table as a spreadsheet. There are two ways to buy it, and the free version is yours either way:
- Yearly: $19.99 a year (US price). It renews automatically each year at the same price until you cancel. Google Play takes the payment when you confirm. Cancel any time in your Google Play subscription settings, and Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
- Monthly: $2.99 a month (US price). It renews automatically each month at the same price until you cancel. Google Play takes the payment when you confirm. Cancel any time in the same settings, and Pro stays on until the end of the month you paid for.
On iPhone and iPad, the App Store takes the payment instead, charged to your Apple Account; see On iPhone and iPad, below.
Prices are set in the store and shown in your currency before you confirm. If a subscription price ever changes, the store tells you first, as its own rules require.
On iPhone and iPad (the App Store)
The free week here is the App Store's own one-week free trial of the yearly plan, for new subscribers. Starting it is a purchase in the App Store: when the week ends, the yearly price is charged to your Apple Account unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Both plans renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in Settings: tap the name at the top, then Subscriptions. Refunds are Apple's to grant (https://reportaproblem.apple.com).
Refunds
On Android, purchases are made through Google Play, and refunds are Google Play's to grant under its refund policy (in Google Play's help).
Restoring
Use "Restore purchases" on the Wadehour Pro screen, signed in to the same store account.
Your content
Your stations, your line, your alerts and your settings stay on your phone and are yours. If Pro ends, nothing you set is deleted: everything free keeps working, and your alerts stay saved and start again if you take Pro again.
No warranty
Wadehour is provided as it is. It predicts the astronomical tide from NOAA's published harmonic constants, at NOAA's harmonic reference stations only. Wind, air pressure and river flow can hold the water a foot or more above or below any prediction, and a low-water window is a prediction, not a promise of dry ground. Wadehour is not for navigation: it does not know the depth of any water, and it never says a beach, a crossing or a route is safe. Tide alerts depend on your phone: on Android it may deliver one up to an hour late unless Wadehour is allowed exact alarms (Alarms & reminders), and none arrives while notifications for Wadehour are off or once the alerts it holds run out, until Wadehour is opened again. Do not rely on an alert alone for a tide you cannot miss. An export that the phone cannot share is copied as text for you to paste.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version is posted here with a new date.
