Six apps from chibu
Small apps that keep your data on your phone.
Six phone apps, each built for one job. Each one works offline, keeps what you enter on your phone, and has no account, no ads and no usage tracking.

I · Prayer
The Catholic hours, kept on your phone.
Oratide shows what the Church keeps today: the feast, the season, the liturgical colour and any day of fast or abstinence. It rings a bell at the hours you set and opens straight into the prayer for that hour.
Compline for each night of the week, the Rosary with the mysteries of the day, the Angelus, the 150 psalms and the litanies, from named public-domain editions. Every text says which edition it comes from.
There is no streak to keep. Every prayer text, every bell and the whole calendar are free, whether you pay or not.

II · Navigation
Pub 229 sight reduction, every line shown.
For anyone working celestial sights by hand for a USCG license exam. Type the assumed latitude, the LHA, the declination and your Ho, and Sight Folder lays out every line of the Pub 229 work form, from Tab Hc to the intercept.
In Exam Drill you work each line yourself. The first line that disagrees with the table is flagged as soon as you enter it, and the lines that follow correctly from it are not blamed.
The math is checked against 154 values copied from the printed volumes, and one button runs the same checks on your phone. You bring the almanac and the altitude corrections; Sight Folder checks the reduction.

III · Pay
Hospital shift pay, differentials counted.
For nurses, CNAs and respiratory therapists paid by the hour. Log your shifts by clock or by hand, and Ratefold shows what the pay period should come to.
Night, weekend, charge and holiday differentials are folded into the regular rate before overtime is worked out, the method in the Department of Labor’s Fact Sheet #54. Tap the total and it opens into its arithmetic, line by line.
It works out gross pay only, under rules you type in yourself. It does not estimate taxes or take-home pay.

IV · Music
Ear-training practice played on your phone, with a map of what you mix up.
For self-taught guitarists and other by-ear players. Ear Habit plays a note, an interval, a chord, a progression or a scale, and you name it. A session is ten questions, scored on the answer you pick, not on speed.
When you miss, it names both sounds, and one tap plays either of them again. For intervals, chord quality and scales it keeps a map of what was played against what you answered over the last seven days or since you started, and names the pair you mix up most.
It does not grade your singing, test rhythm or follow an exam syllabus.

V · Tides
When, in daylight, the tide drops below the height you need.
For people who have to be on foot below a named tide height: tidepoolers, clammers, hikers on a beach route. Name the height, and Wadehour lists each stretch in the next 7 days when the water at your station is below it.
Each window gives the day, the start and end, the length, and how low the water goes and when. The answer is worked out on the phone from the harmonic constants NOAA publishes, so it needs no signal.
It predicts the astronomical tide only. It is not a navigation aid, and it does not know the depth of any water.

VI · Songwriting
Chords above your lyrics, syllables counted on every line, played back to you.
For songwriters who write the words and the chords together. Pellucine keeps both on one sheet: the chord names sit in bold right above the words they fall on, and each lyric line shows its syllable count at the right margin.
Build each section’s chords by tapping Roman numerals, in any of the 15 major keys, and press play to hear them on a synthesized keys voice. Each chord is spelled from the key the song is in: in E-flat major, Eb, Fm, Gm, Ab, Bb, Cm and Ddim, with no D-sharp anywhere.
It is not a chord lookup catalogue and it does not write lyrics for you. Major keys only, and the same nine Roman numerals in every key, on purpose.

The numbers are tested.
Each app is held to an outside source, and its own tests check it against that source.
- Sight Folder154values transcribed from the printed Pub 229 volumes. All 154 match in the app’s own tests, and a button in the app runs the same checks on your phone.
- Ratefold7worked examples from the Department of Labor’s Fact Sheet #54, checked to the cent by the app’s own tests.
- Ear Habit408intervals, chords and scales whose note spellings and frequencies are checked against the tonal 6.5.0 theory library by the app’s own tests, each frequency within 0.01 Hz. Any drift fails those tests.
- Wadehour480high and low tides NOAA CO-OPS publishes for 2026 at four stations. Each one must fall within 2 minutes and 0.05 ft, with the same high or low label, or the app’s test suite fails.
- OratideWord for wordThe Douay–Rheims scripture is compared against a public transcription of the 1899 edition. Every text names its edition, year and translator.
No account. What you enter stays on your phone.
Six different jobs, the same rules. These are facts about how each app is built, and each app’s privacy policy spells out the details.
